21 January 2025
On JPL matchday 23, played from 24 till 26 January, we’ll be treated to plenty of exhilarating encounters. KV Mechelen and Cercle Brugge travel to meet strong opponents, so our sponsored teams will have to bring their best game! Can you predict the outcome of this upcoming matchday’s games? Our preview might help you make the right choices.
24/01 8.45 p.m.
Most likely to win: Antwerp
After slipping to the relegation zone, STVV hasn’t been able to show upwards mobility. Antwerp has solidly parked itself in the top 6. Logic dictates an away win for the Great Old.
25/01 4 p.m.
Most likely to win: KRC Genk
Westerlo suffered a narrow loss last weekend, while KRC Genk is still going strong in its commanding charge for the title. Here, too, it’s safe to predict a victory for the visitors.
25/01 6.15 p.m.
Most likely to win: Charleroi
Important matchup in the belly of the rankings! Charleroi has 28 points, Cercle 27: the winner takes it all here! Unfortunately for Cercle, Charleroi is expected to keep the 3 points at home.
25/01 8.45 p.m.
Most likely to win: Club Brugge
Club Brugge has a comfortable hold on spot 2 in the ranking, and as such has a realistic chance of winning another title. KV Kortrijk is second to last: a Club Brugge win shouldn’t be a surprise.
26/01 1.30 p.m.
Most likely to win: Standard
Standard has clawed back from the lower regions of the JPL, and is ready for a top 6 spot. A victory against Dender is just what the team from Liège needs. Standard for the win!
26/01 4 p.m.
Most likely to win: Union
There’s no end in sight for Beerschot’s painful campaign. Against third-placed Union, there’s next to no chance that it can for something. Easy win for Union.
26/01 6.30 p.m.
Most likely to win: Anderlecht
Anderlecht has enjoyed a few exciting weeks with great football lately, and there’s no sign it’ll stop now. KV Mechelen will do all it can, but an Anderlecht victory is most probable here.
26/01 7.15 p.m.
Most likely to win: OH Leuven
OH Leuven is in a weird spot: both the relegation zone and connection to the top 6 chasers are possible, depending on the result. Against a shambling KAA Gent, a victory is a must.
